This 2 inch Megalodon sharks tooth belt buckle is cast in white bronze. Any Yellow seen in these pictures if a reflection of something in the room. I molded it from an actual fossil tooth found in the Tampa Bay area. This buckle has the top part of the tooth palatinated to a dark brown almost black. The rest is polished to a satin finish to bring out the white of the metal and then waxed to preserve the finish. My buckles are not lacquered or urethaned. Nothing to chip off. The metal will eventually seek its natural color. White bronze is an alloy of copper so is not as white as silver. It gets more on the gray side like stainless steel as it ages.. Bronze is the metal used for centuries to cast sculptures. This buckle fits 1.5 inch wide belts. Belt sold separately.
